We Love Books!
WE LOVE BOOKS!
What do we do?

With over 10,000 books and videos available to students and teachers, we take pride in our school library! It's a fun, engaging place for all students to come and enjoy whether during their weekly scheduled class time, or during lunch recess. Our librarian orders books throughout the school year to keep up with new releases and the newest popular reads for all grade levels. Our librarian enjoys reading popular classic books to the children, but also engages them with read alouds and discussions that focus on anti-bullying, social skills and self esteem building.

Library is always an exciting and a much anticipated time for students. Our Million Words Club encourages students to read throughout the school year and displays students' names on colored stars once they've read one million words. The class that has accumulated the most words read (for each grade level 3-5), wins a party at the end of the school year. Words are measured by Accelerated Reader quizzes taken.

Our library hosts two Scholastic book fairs each year and almost 50% of the sales goes back to our library to buy more books! It is a very fun time for students and families, and a great way to get involved. Volunteers are always welcome (and greatly appreciated), during the school year and for book fairs.
